Equipment Operation/Landscaping Services

Equipment Operation/Landscaping Services provides special needs students with the knowledge and skills needed for entry-level employment in landscaping, the nursery business, groundskeeping and related equipment operation fields.

Through a combination of classroom, shop and outdoor work, students learn installation and maintenance techniques for flowering plants, shrubs, trees and associated architectural features such as walkways and ponds.

Students also learn basic maintenance and operation of equipment such as mowers, tractors, mini-excavators, loaders and forklifts. Key foundation skills such as safety, construction math, basic blueprint reading and the role of valuable employees are stressed and practiced throughout the program.
